The Buford Pusser Project was founded in 2001 by a few individuals using Yahoo groups as a meeting place for furthering the legend of Buford Pusser. Brought together by a common interest of gaining knowledge of the legendary sheriff, it has grown in numbers and now has its own web site to further promote Buford Pusser’s legacy.
The Buford Pusser Project is not a club but a collective of diverse individuals with one purpose, keeping the legend alive. Buford Pusser was a true law and order man who fought the odds and won, while paying costs few men would pay or even endure in two lifetimes.
